About

Dr. Madison Adler-Juschin, Esq., PhD, is a California-licensed attorney whose practice sits at the intersection of data privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. She advises U.S. and European companies — from growth-stage businesses to global enterprises — on the legal frameworks that govern data, technology, and digital risk.

Before founding TechLegalCounsel, she served as in-house counsel at Google, where she counseled the Google Play business on product privacy; at Twitter, where her work centered on privacy assessments; at Uber; and at Egger in Austria. That in-house perspective shapes the practice today: advice is calibrated to how product, engineering, and security teams actually work, and to what boards and regulators will ask when a decision is tested.

Her work spans GDPR and CCPA/CPRA compliance programs, breach and incident-response leadership, and privacy and security diligence in corporate transactions. She also advises on crypto and digital-asset fraud and asset-tracing regulation, an area in which she is active internationally. She created “AI for Attorneys: Competence Without Contempt,” a training program on the competent and ethical use of AI in legal practice.

The firm’s clients receive senior counsel directly — analysis, drafting, and negotiation are handled by the principal, not delegated. Matters are approached the way an in-house lawyer approaches them: with attention to implementation, documentation, and the questions a regulator, auditor, or opposing party will later ask. Where a matter calls for technical or local support, the firm works alongside the client’s existing advisors and vendors.

She has spoken at the World Litigation Forum. She is a member of the International Bar Association and active in its Asset Recovery Committee, and a participant at C5 Geneva.

Her counsel is sought where privacy, security, and AI questions reach the executive level: a regulator’s deadline, a board’s risk decision, a diligence finding that could reprice a transaction. She is known for direct assessments — identifying what the law requires, what it permits, and where judgment must fill the space between — and for leaving clients with documentation that shows their work.
